UNESCO HERITAGE TOUR Bordeaux, Why such a Touristic city ?

It has been 11years since an urban perimeter of 1810 hectares in central Bordeaux received recognition by UNESCO as World Heritage Site.

4 classes of 4eme level (4D, E, F, G)from High School Andre Lahaye Andernos les bains accompanied by their English and History teachers will be journalists for a day.
They will study the monuments, collect informations, record and interview tourists like real journalists !

Finally, they will create an interactive map of Bordeaux gathering all their films, audios or pictures.

This project will allow them to discover four different districts of Bordeaux and its famous people, from the previously called the Royal Square (Place de la Bourse) to the Gothic-style cathedral( Cathedrale Saint Andre) and also the masterpiece of European architecture (le Grand théatre) and the Esplanade des Quinconces with its tribute to the inhabitants of Gironde lost during the French Revolution.

With the help of their teachers, pupils will present either 2 different monuments in English or 2 great people such as Montaigne or more recently Philippe Etchebest.
They will also interview tourists and find out why Bordeaux is such an attractive city !
